SimpliFire Triton: the tallest glass in the SimpliFire linear line
The SimpliFire Triton is a built in linear electric fireplace for a framed wall. It comes in three widths from 50 to 78 inches. Pick the size on the page. The glass is 20 inches tall. Extra large timber logs sit over black glass embers and clear crystals. You choose the flame color and the ember bed color, so the fire can look natural or match your room. The same unit installs three ways: in a flat wall, in a corner so the fire shows on two sides, or in a bay so it shows on three. Built in means your builder frames it into the wall and runs tile, stone, or drywall right up to the edge, with no vents or screen showing. It is also approved for a covered outdoor room such as a porch or three season room, as long as it stays out of the rain. You can link several Tritons end to end with a linking kit for one long run of fire.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. An electrician hardwires it, since there is no plug. On a heavier circuit it gives up to 10,000 BTU of heat, about twice the heat of the other SimpliFire linear models. Run the flames with or without heat. It comes with a remote, and you can also run it from your phone over Wi-Fi or by voice through Alexa or Google Home. In the box you get the timber logs, black glass embers, clear crystals, and the remote. You can add a birch log set, decorative spheres, or a floating mantel kit for a wall mount build on the 50 inch size, and more on the page. Want a lower priced built in? FAQ
How does linking multiple Triton units together work?
The description says you can link units for unlimited length, extra warmth and continuous flame across a feature wall. It uses the Triton linking kit, which is offered on the Optional Linking Kit selector with its price shown there; the kit’s installation sheet is in the Manuals tab and calls for standard 2×4 framing around the combined opening. Plan power for each unit.
What is the difference between 120 V and 240 V on the Triton?
Heat output and circuit size. The specification lists up to 10,000 BTU on 240 V, and the installation manual says the unit can be hard-wired for either 120 V (15 amp circuit, 20 amp recommended) or 240 V (20 amp circuit). A heater voltage switch inside the unit must be set to match the wiring, so settle the voltage with your electrician before rough-in.
Can I install it as a corner or bay fireplace?
Yes. The Triton comes in one-sided, two-sided left or right corner, and three-sided bay configurations, with 20-inch tall glass and finishing materials such as stone or tile brought right to the edge. The Features tab and installation manual cover each layout, and the architect guides in the Manuals tab give the framing for all three widths.
Does it work with an app or voice assistant?
Yes. Controls are Wi-Fi, buttons on the fireplace and the included remote. The manual describes pairing with the Smart Life app on a 2.4 GHz network and linking it to Alexa or Google Home for commands such as on/off, flame color, brightness, heat mode, ember bed and sound effect. The thermostat range and timer are set from the app or remote.
Can it be used on a covered patio?
In a protected outdoor application, yes. The Protected Outdoor Applications bulletin in the Manuals tab says UL has approved the Triton for outdoor rooms such as patios, decks and three-season rooms when it is protected from direct water, with overhang requirements, drainage under the unit and a GFCI-protected circuit. Follow that bulletin exactly rather than treating it as a general outdoor fireplace.
What is included in the fire bed, and what can I add?
XL timber logs, black glass embers and clear crystals are included. The XL birch logs and Decorative Spheres are optional fire bed materials on the selector above the price, each priced there. For a wall-mount instead of a built-in, the floating mantel kit is offered on the selector for the 50-inch size. Instruction sheets for all three accessories are in the Manuals tab.
Which widths are available and what warranty applies?
Three widths: 50, 65 and 78 inches, all 26-11/16 inches tall and 12-7/16 inches deep. The Features tab states a 2-year warranty; full terms are in the installation manual. Nine flame effects, 100-plus flame and ember combinations and two crackling sound effects are standard across the range. Compare sizes in our linear electric fireplace collection.
