Rectangle-Flat-Pan-with-Linear-Bullet-

8-inch wide flat pan with linear bullet burner: one straight tube for a slim trough of flame, 24 to 96 inches

The Outdoor Plus 8 inch wide rectangular flat pan and linear bullet burner fits slim fire troughs on walls, bars, or table edges. Its rimless stainless steel plate rests over the enclosure, hidden under lava rock or fire glass. A single straight central tube with upright bullet ports gives taller, fuller flames than drilled tubes. Made in the USA, it measures 8 inches wide and 24 to 96 inches long.

Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. For a lip that hangs inside the opening, try the 8-inch drop-in pan with linear bullet burner. The 8 inch linear bullet set ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ

How does this stainless bullet burner differ from the brass version?

Same machined bullet ports, same crisp jet-like flame — the OPT-BFP-RTSS series simply executes it in stainless steel rather than brass. Stainless keeps the cost down and matches modern stainless hardware; brass is the pick for harsh coastal exposure. Performance on the 8-inch pan is equivalent.

What sizes are offered in the linear bullet set?

Seven lengths, all on the 8-inch wide flat pan: 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84 and 96 inches, SKUs OPT-BFP24RTSS through OPT-BFP96RTSS. Note there are no 30 or 42-inch steps in the bullet line, so frame your opening to one of these seven.

Which ignition tiers pair with the linear bullet burner pan?

Match lit pan-and-burner, Match Lit with Flame Sense (LC certified), Flame Sense with Spark, Low Voltage Electronic (CSA certified) or Plug and Play (CSA certified). The bullet ports light cleanly either way — pick based on whether you want a key valve ritual or a wall switch.

How thirsty is a linear bullet burner?

Consumption tracks the length: a 24-inch OPT-BFP24RTSS sips compared with a 96-inch run, and propane versus natural gas changes the supply math. Your installer sizes the line from the spec sheet ratings. Running shorter evening burns rather than all-day flame keeps usage modest.

How deep should media sit around bullet ports?

Fill fire glass or lava rock up to just below the tips of the bullet ports — the raised ports are designed to fire above the media line. Burying them defeats the design and muffles the flame; leaving them slightly proud keeps that sharp, jetted look.

Can this set be the heart of a DIY fire table?

That is exactly how most of these 8-inch pans get used: build the table shell, cut the top to the pan size, rest it in place and finish the edges — a custom fire pit table for the cost of components. A licensed gas fitter handles the fuel side.

Can we make s’mores over the linear bullet burner?

Very. The stainless bullet flame is clean-burning, so marshmallows toast without a campfire smoke coating. Hold sticks above the jets rather than in them, and keep melted sugar off the fire glass — it cleans up, but nobody enjoys chiseling caramel off a 96-inch media bed.

The Bullet Burner
Where Design Meets Expectations

Every The Outdoor Plus fire feature starts with the burner — and no one takes it more seriously. The patented Bullet Burner is designed and built in Ontario, California for one purpose: premium fire performance. Its Flat Flame Technology delivers more flame while using less gas, producing the tall, full, realistic flame The Outdoor Plus is known for.

How Does It Work?

Engineered Flame, Piece by Piece

The Outdoor Plus Triple S burner with patented hexagonal hub and Bullet Burner tips
Hexagonal Uniform Gas Flow Hub

The patented brass hub gathers the perfect air-and-fuel mixture and safely distributes it to every arm of the burner, so the flame stays even across the entire fire feature.

Precision Bullet Burner Tips

Each brass tip meters the mixture for those beautiful, realistic flames — and is built to withstand harsh weather, extreme temperatures, and high impact.

Flat Flame Technology

The patented orifice design gives you exceptional flame coverage from less gas. What you see is what you get — a fuller fire at a lower burn rate.

Seven Burner Shapes, Two Metals

Building a Custom Fire Feature?

Choose Your Pan & Burner Kit Style

A pan & burner kit is the heart of a built-in fire pit or fire table: the pan drops into your enclosure, holds the fire media, and houses the burner. The four pan styles differ in how they sit in the enclosure — and in the finished look they create.

Raised Lip Drop-In Pan and Burner Kit

Raised Lip Drop-In

The pan drops into the opening while its lip stands proud of the surface, framing the fire media and keeping water and debris from washing into the pan.

Best for: classic fire pit look with extra protection
Drop-In Pan and Burner Kit

Drop-In

The workhorse. A recessed pan with a slim lip that rests on the enclosure — quick to install, with a deeper bed that holds a generous layer of lava rock or fire glass.

Best for: most DIY & contractor builds
Lipless Drop-In Pan and Burner Kit

Lipless Drop-In

No visible lip at all — the pan finishes flush with the surrounding surface for a seamless, architectural edge where only fire and media are visible.

Best for: modern & luxury designs
Flat Pan and Burner Kit

Flat Pan

A shallow flat surface that spans the opening, spreading fire media edge-to-edge for the widest fire presentation with the least media — great for long, linear flames.

Best for: linear fire tables & wide flame beds
