Salinas Fire Pit in hammered copper: a rectangular fire table that ages into a patina
The Outdoor Plus Salinas fire pit in hammered copper is a rectangular gas fire table in 48 or 60 inch lengths with a hand-hammered copper body. It starts bright and slowly deepens into a rich patina as sun and weather work on it, so every one ends up one of a kind.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The burner, fire pan, hose, and fittings are included; a key valve, wind guard, lid, cover, and fire glass are optional. Want no upkeep at all? See the Salinas fire pit in stainless steel. The copper Salinas fire pit ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
How will the copper on the Salinas age?
Beautifully and on its own schedule. Hammered copper starts bright and mellows into a deep, variegated patina as sun and weather work on it — every Salinas ends up one of a kind. If you want to hold the shine, wipe-downs and a cover slow the aging. See where it fits among our copper fire pit collection.
What sizes does the copper Salinas come in?
Two: 48-inch (OPT-SALCPR48) and 60-inch (OPT-SALCPR60), both in the same hand-hammered copper. The 60-inch stretches the flame presence noticeably — worth it if your seating runs along more than one side. Both ship with the complete burner system.
Is the fuel type fixed at purchase?
Yes — each Salinas is built for the fuel you choose, Liquid Propane or Natural Gas, with the correct orifice and whistle-free hose in the box along with the fire pan, burner, and mounting bracket. Choose based on the supply your patio has or can get.
Marshmallows over a propane flame — safe?
Completely. Propane burns clean, so anything toasted over the Salinas is safe to eat and tastes of marshmallow, not fuel. The only rule is tidiness: keep melting sugar off the media and burner ports, where it bakes on and becomes a chore to remove.
How do I put the fire out?
Turn the key valve shut — the Salinas goes dark instantly. No dousing, no stirring coals, no waiting up. Copper holds warmth for a while, so give it a few minutes before covering, and never throw water on the hot metal; thermal shock can mark the finish.
Does fire glass work with copper?
Gorgeously — glass media reflects flame light back off the Salinas hammered interior, so the whole unit seems to glow. Lava rock is the earthier alternative and works fine functionally; plenty of owners run lava rock as a base with a display layer of glass on top.
Is the Salinas safe under a covered patio?
Only if the overhead and side clearances in the Salinas spec sheet genuinely fit your structure, with free-flowing air. Radiant heat rising off a gas burner is relentless on low ceilings. If the numbers are close, put it in the open — and never in an enclosed room.
