Fire Magic Charcoal Patio Post Mount Grill: charcoal cooking without an island
The Fire Magic Charcoal Patio Post Mount Grill is a 24 inch post mount charcoal grill. Post mount means the grill head sits on a stainless steel post with a shelf on each side, on a base plate that bolts to a patio or a deck. It is for charcoal cooks who do not have an outdoor kitchen island. Fire Magic builds it in the USA from 304 stainless steel, the grade that holds up best outdoors. A crank handle on the front raises or lowers the charcoal pan, so you bring the coals close for searing or drop them away for slow cooking. It gives you about 430 square inches of cooking space plus a warming rack that adjusts to two heights.
The grates are Diamond Sear grids, thick stainless steel bars with a flat top for clean sear marks. The smoker hood has a vent on each side, so you can close them down and smoke a brisket low and slow. There is nothing to plug in and no gas line to run. Fire Magic covers the grill for five years. How is the charcoal post grill installed?
The all-304 stainless steel post and stand bolts onto a patio or deck. The manual says to fasten the base to a stable, level surface before use: mark the base plate holes, drill them 1/2 inch in diameter and 1 1/2 inches deep, set the supplied lag shields flush and drive the lag screws. Two rigid stainless shelves mount on the post.
How tall is it?
The Fire Magic spec guide linked in the Catalogs tab lists the charcoal patio post grill at 49 1/4 inches with the hood closed, 60 1/4 inches open and 37 inches to the shelf tops, on a 5 1/2 inch post with a 20 1/4 inch base plate; overall depth is about 29 inches. An in-ground version that sets in concrete is described in the same manual.
How do you control the heat?
A crank handle raises or lowers the charcoal pan under the 24 by 18 inch grid, and the smoker hood has adjustable vents on each side to regulate airflow. The 24 by 12 inch warming rack adjusts between two positions for holding or slow cooking. The manual cautions that the handle and crank get hot, so wear heat-resistant gloves.
Does it need gas or electricity?
No. It is a pure charcoal grill with no burners, igniter or lights, so the only installation work is anchoring the post. Light the charcoal as your fuel maker directs, spread it no more than an inch above the pan, and never cover more than 75 percent of the grid with pans or griddles. Can it go under a patio cover?
The manual allows use under a non-combustible overhead cover with open sides, but not under combustible overhead construction. It also asks for clear space around the grill and, in the event of a grease fire, to close the oven lid and move away rather than use water.
What comes in the box?
The grill head with smoker hood, the post and patio base with its lag hardware kit, two rigid shelves, the charcoal pan with charcoal screen, the crank handle and the drip tray, per the manual’s parts list. Diamond Sear cooking grids and the dual-position warming rack sit in the grill.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit.
