HUUM Hive 15: a 15 kW round heater for saunas from 530 to 1,060 cubic feet

The HUUM Hive 15 is a floor standing electric sauna heater made in Estonia for large home saunas, gyms, and spas, with 15 kW of power for rooms from 530 to 1,060 cubic feet. Its round stainless steel body sits on adjustable legs and measures 22 inches across and 29.5 inches tall. It weighs 46 pounds empty and holds 552 pounds of stones directly against the heating elements, giving a large room soft, even heat and plenty of steam.

The box holds the heater, adjustable legs, an air tunnel insert, and the manual. The insert speeds heating by about a quarter and reduces the stone load to about 463 pounds when fitted. It needs a HUUM UKU control and the UKU extension box to run, and you add both on the page. Choose the Wi-Fi version and you can start the sauna from your phone. Sauna stones are sold separately, so add the 16 boxes it needs on the page. A safety rail, an embedding flange, a reflector panel, and a bucket and ladle set are optional. Does it need more than a standard control?

How many pounds of stones does it use?

62.5 amps at 240V single-phase, with the breaker column showing 50 + 50 and wire size 8 + 8 AWG – in practice, two dedicated circuits sized by a licensed electrician. Follow the installation manual and local electrical code; this is not a DIY hookup.

What about delivery?

It ships LTL freight on a wooden pallet – listed shipping weight with stones is nearly 600 pounds – with a special delivery appointment and curbside drop at ground level. Expect a call from the store beforehand to confirm the details of your delivery.
