Lexington Hearth Rickhouse and Tobacco Barn bracket trim: a metal accent that can hide mantel seams
The Lexington Hearth Rickhouse and Tobacco Barn bracket trim is a decorative fireplace mantel accessory. It is a decorative metal strap in a hand forged look that wraps around the mantel. Lexington Hearth uses it to hide the seam where a two foot extension or a corner piece joins the mantel. You can also add one to a plain mantel just for the look. It fits the Rickhouse and the Tobacco Barn mantels, which share the same 7.5 by 7.5 inch beam, and no other Lexington Hearth profile.
It is trim only: the steel bracket that holds the mantel to the wall comes with the mantel. On the page you pick black or bronze, and a single bracket or a set of two. Extended layouts usually use two, one over the seam and one at the far end to match. Extensions and corner pieces are ordered through us, so ask with your wall width. Need the mantel too? The Lexington Hearth Rickhouse and Tobacco Barn bracket trim ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
Which mantels does this bracket trim fit?
The Rickhouse and the Tobacco Barn, which share the same 7.5 in. by 7.5 in. beam profile, so one trim works on either. It will not fit the Hayloft Beam, Grist Mill, or Flat Sawn mantels; Lexington Hearth makes separate bracket trims for those profiles, listed alongside the mantels in our Lexington Hearth non-combustible mantel collection.
What does the bracket trim do?
It is a forge-inspired decorative metal trim that wraps the mantel profile. Its main job in the Lexington Hearth catalog is to conceal the seam where a 2 ft extension or a corner piece joins the main mantel; it can also be added to a standard mantel as a decorative accent. It is not the structural mounting bracket, which ships with every mantel.
Black or Bronze – which should I pick?
Both read as hand-forged iron against the painted casting, so it is a matter of taste against your mantel color; Black is the more neutral option and Bronze adds warmth. Choose on the Color selector. Both finishes are offered on every Lexington Hearth bracket trim, so extensions, corners, and trim across a layout can share one finish.
Do I need one bracket or two?
The Quantity selector offers a single bracket or a set of two, with any price difference shown there. The catalog’s extended-mantel layouts use two: one hides the joint where the extension meets the mantel, and the second sits at the mirrored position on the other side so the mantel looks symmetrical. For a single decorative accent, one is enough.
Are extensions included with the trim?
No. This listing is the decorative bracket trim only. The Rickhouse and Tobacco Barn mantels are sold separately on our site with their own structural mounting brackets and fasteners, and the 2 ft extensions and corner pieces are ordered through us on request. Send us your total wall width and we will put the combination together.
