SaunaLife GL6B: a black cabin with insulated walls and a glass front
The SaunaLife GL6B is an outdoor sauna cabin kit with room for six. Insulated walls surround the seating area, bronze tinted glass fills the front, and a porch runs around every side. The B model comes with black exterior paint in the box for you to brush on yourself. Allow a square footprint measuring 90.2 inches on each side. The walls use thermo spruce, which is spruce heated in a kiln to resist moisture and rot. It can last up to twice as long as cedar. Hardwood benches and backrests come with the kit.
Recessed lights beneath the roof overhangs light the outside. Inside, you can dim the included white LED light bar with an app or the handheld remote. The heater is sold separately, so choose one of the 7 electric heater packages on the page, from 9 to 10.5 kW, each with its control and stones. FAQ
What does the B in the model name mean, and do I have to paint it myself?
B means the SaunaLife GL6B includes three 2.7 liter containers of PROSAUNAS SaunaShield black exterior sauna paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual in the Manual tab and apply it outside only, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need a fresh coat over the years to keep its black color.
Does this sauna come with a heater?
No, the heater is sold separately. The Select Heater add-on on this page offers seven electric heater packages from 9 to 10.5 kW, each with its control and stones, which you can choose when ordering or buy later. For a colder climate, choose a higher kW option from the list.
What electrical work does it need?
Your setup depends on your property and heater choice, but every package needs a licensed electrician to hardwire its own dedicated 240 volt circuit, with breaker and wire sizing from the heater's manual. These heaters cannot plug in, share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit, or use extension cords. Outdoor runs use buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect, and the LED power unit mounts outside the hot room in a weatherproof box you provide.
What do I put under it? Can it sit on grass or on my deck?
No to bare grass or soil, and a deck works only if it is built to carry the weight, so the right base depends on your property. Use a firm, flat, level base such as compacted gravel topped with pavers, a concrete slab, or a suitable deck, and see the Specifications tab for shipping weight. Bare ground holds moisture against the wood, while an uneven base can leave pieces misaligned and the door unable to latch.
How long does it take to assemble, and how many people do I need?
Two people need about two days, according to SaunaLife's assembly estimate. The pieces are numbered, and the instructions are in the Manual tab. First-time builders often take longer, and the electrician's visit is a separate day.
Can it stay outside all winter?
Yes, it is built to stay outdoors year-round. In freezing weather, heating often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes, and the glass front loses a little more heat in deep cold. Keep the vents clear.
How is it delivered?
By freight truck on a wooden pallet, with curbside delivery by appointment. The driver lowers the pallet to the ground, so arrange two or three people to carry the pieces to your assembly spot. Inspect the crate before signing and note any damage on the receipt.
What is thermo spruce, and how do I look after the outside?
Thermo spruce is Nordic spruce treated with heat and steam in a kiln so it absorbs less moisture, moves less with the weather, and lasts up to twice as long as cedar outdoors. It has no resin and a mild toasted smell, and bare wood turns silver gray without affecting its function. On this B model, the black paint is the exterior finish, so refresh it over the years to keep the outside black.
Do I need a permit or HOA approval?
It depends on your local rules and HOA, so check before ordering. The dedicated 240 volt circuit almost always needs an electrical permit, and many towns still require setbacks even when a small accessory building is exempt from a building permit. Your HOA may have its own approval requirements.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit.
