SaunaLife CL7GB: a black cube sauna with room for six
The SaunaLife CL7GB is an outdoor cube sauna kit for sharing with family or friends. It measures about 91 inches wide by 86.6 inches deep, with a roof line 93 inches tall. This B version includes black exterior paint for you to brush on yourself. The walls use thermo spruce, which is spruce baked in a kiln to resist rot from moisture and last longer than cedar. A bronze tinted glass front wall and door let you look out into the yard. Inside, shaped aspen benches and a backrest give you somewhere to settle in.
The box includes a shingle roof kit, ventilation, and a white LED light bar you can control with a Wi-Fi app or handheld remote. The heater is sold separately, so choose one of the 4 electric heater packages on the page, from 8 to 9 kW, each with its control and stones. FAQ
What does the B in the model name mean, and do I have to paint it myself?
B means the SaunaLife CL7GB includes two containers of PROSAUNAS SaunaShield black exterior sauna paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need a fresh coat over the years to stay black.
Does this sauna come with a heater, and what size should I pick?
No, a heater is not included. The Select Heater add-on on this page offers four electric packages sized for this room, from 8 to 9 kW, each with controls and stones. Choose one when ordering or buy one later, with the higher kW option suited to a colder climate.
What electrical work does it need?
It depends on your property and heater choice, but every package needs a licensed electrician to hardwire a dedicated 240 volt circuit, with breaker and wire sizing checked against the heater's manual. There are no plug-in options, shared dryer, hot tub or EV circuits, or extension cords. Outdoor runs use buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect, and the LED power unit mounts outside the hot room in a weatherproof box you provide.
What do I put under it? Can it go on a deck?
Yes, it can go on a deck if the deck is built to carry the weight, which needs checking for your property using the 2,040 pound shipping weight in the Specifications tab. Use a firm, flat, level base such as compacted gravel topped with pavers, a concrete slab, or a suitable deck, never bare grass or soil that holds moisture against the wood. An uneven base can leave the staves misaligned and the door unable to latch.
How long does it take to build?
Plan on a full weekend for a first build, based on owner reports. SaunaLife rates the cube kits for two people, and hanging the door is the step to take slowly. Plan the electrician's visit for a separate day.
Does the glass front lose heat in winter?
Yes, the glass front loses a little more heat in deep cold, though the sauna is built for year-round outdoor use. In freezing weather, heating often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes. Keep the vents clear.
How many people really fit?
Six people is the maximum seated on the benches. Plan on four or five if you want more room to stretch out or lie down.
What is thermo spruce, and does it smell like a sauna?
Thermo spruce is Nordic spruce treated with heat and steam in a kiln, so it absorbs less moisture, moves less with the weather, and lasts up to twice as long as cedar outdoors. It has a mild toasted smell rather than a strong cedar aroma, and no resin. Bare wood turns silver gray over time as a cosmetic change, while this model uses black paint as its exterior finish.
How is it delivered?
It arrives by freight truck on a wooden pallet, with curbside delivery by appointment. The driver lowers the pallet to the ground and stops there, so have two or three people ready to carry the pieces in. Inspect the crate before signing and note any damage on the receipt.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
