The SaunaLife CL12GCPB is an outdoor cube sauna suite kit with room for eight. A front porch gives you somewhere to sit outside, and a separate dressing room gives you space to change before entering the sauna. The B version comes with black exterior paint in the box for you to brush on yourself. Allow for an overall footprint of 91 inches wide by 151.6 inches deep. SaunaLife designed the kit, and it is made by hand in Northern Europe. The sauna has shaped seats and backrests, while a rear picture window brings in daylight.
It ships on a flatbed truck, so you will need a forklift or crane to unload it. Roof shingles and a white LED light bar come with the kit. You can control the light with an app or the included handheld remote. FAQ
What does the B in the model name mean, and do I have to paint it myself?
B means the SaunaLife CL12GCPB includes three 2.7 liter containers of black exterior sauna paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint stretches and shrinks with the weather and will need a fresh coat over the years to stay black.
Does this sauna come with a heater, and what size should I pick?
No, a heater is not included. The Select Heater add-on on this page offers five electric packages sized for this room, from 8 to 10.5 kW, each with its control and stones. Choose one when you order or buy one later, with a higher kW option for a colder climate.
What electrical work does it need?
Your property's setup and chosen heater determine the work, so have a licensed electrician hardwire a dedicated 240 volt circuit using the heater's manual for breaker and wire sizing. These heaters cannot plug in, use extension cords, or share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit. Outdoor runs use buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect, and the LED power unit mounts outside the hot room in a weatherproof box you provide.
What do I put under it? Can it go on a deck?
Yes, if your deck is built to carry the weight, which needs checking for your property using the shipping weight on the Specifications tab. A firm, flat, level concrete slab or compacted gravel topped with pavers also works, but bare grass or soil holds moisture against the wood. An uneven base can keep the staves from lining up and the door from latching.
How long does it take to build?
Plan on a full weekend for a first build, based on owner reports. SaunaLife rates its cube kits for two people, and hanging the doors is a step to take slowly. Plan the electrician's visit for a separate day.
Does the glass front lose heat in winter?
Yes, the glass front loses a little more heat in deep cold, but the sauna is built for year-round outdoor use. In freezing weather, warm-up often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes. Keep the vents clear.
How many people really fit?
Eight people is the maximum seated on the benches. Plan on six or seven if you want more room for stretching out or lying down.
What is thermo spruce, and does it smell like a sauna?
Thermo spruce is Nordic spruce treated with heat and steam in a kiln, so it absorbs less moisture, moves less with the weather, and can last up to twice as long as cedar outdoors. It has a mild toasted smell instead of cedar's strong aroma and contains no resin. Bare wood turns silver gray over time, a cosmetic change, while this B model uses black paint as its exterior finish.
How is it delivered?
It arrives on a flatbed truck by appointment. You must arrange a forklift or crane to unload it, as the driver does not unload it. Inspect the shipment before signing and note any damage on the receipt.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
