SaunaLife G3B: a black sauna pod with an arched roof and sheltered seating
The SaunaLife G3B is an outdoor sauna kit with a pod shape and room for four people. Black shingles cover the curved roof, which arches over a porch set back into the front. A bench on either side gives you somewhere to sit outside the sauna. The sheltered porch can also keep stacked firewood dry if you use a wood stove. The B version includes black exterior paint for you to brush on yourself. Plan for a footprint measuring 95.3 inches wide by 86.6 inches deep. Inside, a bronze tinted glass door brings in daylight.
A white LED light bar comes with the kit, along with a handheld remote and Wi-Fi app control. The heater is sold separately, so choose one of the 4 electric heater packages on the page, from 8 to 9 kW, each with its control and stones. FAQ
What does the B in the model name mean, and do I have to paint it myself?
B means the SaunaLife G3B includes two containers of black exterior sauna paint with the base kit, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need fresh coats over the years to stay black.
Does this sauna come with a heater?
No, the heater is sold separately. The Select Heater add-on on this page offers four electric packages from 8 to 9 kW, each with controls and stones, which you can order now or buy later. Choose the higher kW option for a colder climate.
What electrical work does it need?
Your setup depends on your property and heater choice, but every package needs a licensed electrician to hardwire its own dedicated 240 volt circuit, with breaker and wire sizing checked against the heater manual. These heaters cannot plug in, share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit, or use extension cords, and outdoor runs need buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect. The LED power unit mounts outside the hot room in a weatherproof box you provide.
What do I put under it? Can it sit on grass or on my deck?
No to bare grass or soil, which holds moisture against the wood, and a deck works only if it is built to carry the weight. Depending on your property, use a firm, flat, level concrete slab, compacted gravel topped with pavers, or a suitable deck, referring to the shipping weight in the Specifications tab. An uneven base can keep the staves from lining up and the door from latching.
How long does it take to assemble, and how many people do I need?
Two people and about two days is SaunaLife's assembly estimate for its cabin kits. The pieces are numbered, and the instructions are on the Manual tab. First-time builders often need longer, and the electrician's visit takes a separate day.
Can it stay outside all winter?
Yes, it is built for year-round outdoor use. In freezing weather, warm-up often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes, and front glass loses a little more heat in deep cold. Keep the vents clear.
How is it delivered?
By freight truck on a wooden pallet, with a scheduled delivery appointment. The pallet is too long for a lift gate, so you must unload it piece by piece or have a forklift ready, as the driver only delivers. Inspect the shipment before signing and note any damage on the receipt.
What is thermo spruce, and how do I look after the outside?
Thermo spruce is Nordic spruce treated with heat and steam in a kiln so it absorbs less moisture and moves less with the weather. It has no resin and a mild toasted smell, while bare wood naturally turns silver gray. On this B model, the black paint is the exterior finish, so refresh it over the years to keep the outside black.
Do I need a permit or HOA approval?
It depends on your local rules, but the dedicated 240 volt circuit almost always needs an electrical permit. Many towns exempt small accessory buildings from building permits while still requiring setbacks, and your HOA may have its own rules. Check with your local permit office and HOA, if you have one, before ordering.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit.
