Saunum Air 5 package: a small sauna heater with control and stones included
The Saunum Air 5 package is a floor standing electric sauna heater set for a small home sauna. You get the heater, control, and stones in one order. Its 5 kW heater suits rooms of 106 to 212 cubic feet. A quiet fan draws hot ceiling air down through an intake that extends up to the ceiling. It mixes that air with cooler air near the floor and sends it back into the room down low. That helps the lower bench feel as warm as the upper bench and makes the steam feel soft.
The package includes the heater, the Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi control with its power unit and door sensor, and 4 boxes of rounded sauna stones. The AirIQ lets you use a touch panel or a phone app to manage the sauna. You can start it before arriving home, keep three saved sauna settings, and plan sessions on a weekly schedule. What is in the Air 5 package?
The Includes tab lists the 4.8 kW Air 5 heater with stainless steel stone basket, heat equalizing module, telescopic hot-air intake, three element air tunnels, seven Himalayan salt spheres, protective grille and all heater-side cables, the AirIQ Wi-Fi control with soft-touch panel, wall plate, power unit and door sensor magnet, and five 33 lb boxes of rounded 2 to 4 inch stones, so nothing else is needed beyond the electrical installation.
How small a sauna is 4.8 kW meant for?
The Specifications tab rates it for 106 to 212 cubic feet, the smallest range in the Saunum line, with a 71.48 inch minimum ceiling. Work out length by width by height in feet and add for any glass, tile or masonry using the Sizing Your Saunum sheet in the Manual tab; if the total sits at the top of the range or the room has lots of glass, the manual suggests the next size up.
What wiring does the Air 5 package need?
240 V single phase drawing 20 A; the Specifications tab lists a 30 A breaker and two number 10 conductors plus neutral and ground to the AirIQ power unit, which feeds the heater through the included element and equalizer cables. A licensed electrician does the hardwiring to the NEC and local code, and the manual says the circuit must not use a GFCI breaker.
Do I need to buy stones separately?
No, five boxes are in this package and the Features tab notes the required stones are included, unlike the bare Air 5 heater page where stones are an add-on. The heater holds 132 to 154 lb of 2 to 4 inch stones; the manual says to stack the larger ones low so hot air can channel around the elements, cover the elements completely and restack the load at least yearly.
How does the AirIQ control the heater?
The AirIQ panel mounts outside the sauna and runs the heater through its power unit. It sets temperatures from 104 to 194 F, stores three preset sauna types, schedules sessions by day and time, and controls the three-speed climate fan; the Saunum app on your phone shows sauna-ready, heating, door-open and overheat notifications and lets you start the sauna remotely when the door sensor reads closed.
What are the six sauna styles the page mentions?
They come from combining airflow, temperature and steam on one heater: Russian banya with air blending and heavy steam, dry Finnish heat from the big stone mass, long Estonian sweats, a milder oxygen-rich yoga sauna, a salt sauna from the Himalayan spheres in the air stream, and an aroma sauna using the optional aroma oil sets. The AirIQ presets store your favourite combinations.
Which options are on this page?

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
