Superior DRC2033: a compact 33 inch direct vent gas fireplace with a modern crushed glass fire
The Superior DRC2033 is a small direct vent gas fireplace built into the wall. It is 33 inches wide and only about 14 inches deep, so it fits a bedroom, office, or condo wall where a full size fireplace would not. The flames rise through a bed of black reflective crushed glass rather than logs, giving it a clean, modern look. It puts out up to 12,000 BTU, a gentle heat for a small room.
Direct vent means a sealed pipe runs to the outside. It brings in air for the fire and carries the exhaust out, so the fire never uses the air in your room. It is set up for natural gas, and a propane conversion kit is on the page. Electronic ignition lights it with a button, and a battery backup keeps it running when the power is out. How small a space will the DRC2033 fit?
It is Superior’s compact contemporary model: a single 33 in unit with a 14 in cabinet depth, framing at 33-3/4 in wide, 34-1/4 in high and 14-1/2 in deep. The Specifications tab rates it at 12,000 down to 10,000 BTU, sized for a bedroom, office or condo rather than a great room. Its clean-faced heat-circulating design needs no facade.
What is the difference between the top and rear flue versions?
The DRC2033 uses a dedicated flue outlet rather than a convertible collar, so you pick Top or Rear on the Vent Direction selector before ordering: Top for a run up through the roof or up and out, Rear for a straight horizontal exit through the wall behind it. Your installer decides from the vent path; the Termination selector lists the matching compact and flex termination kits.
Will it work when the power is out?
Yes. The electronic ignition has a seamless battery backup with the IPI/CPI switch standard, so the fireplace keeps lighting and running during an outage; only the optional blower stops. Household power is still needed for normal operation, so plan an outlet at the unit. Remotes, wall timers and thermostats are on the Remotes and Switches selector.
Does it come with a blower?
No, the blower is optional: the Blower selector lists a standard kit, a variable-speed kit with wall switch and a variable-speed kit with automatic on/off. The fireplace circulates heat on its own through the clean-face design, and the blower simply pushes more of it into the room. Reflective black crushed glass media and a protective screen are included.
Natural gas or propane?
The unit ships for natural gas. To run on propane, choose the matching conversion kit on the Accessories row, which lists millivolt and electronic NG to LP and LP to NG kits; the kit must be fitted by a qualified gas technician. See more compact options among our direct vent fireplaces.
What glass media options are there?
Reflective black crushed glass is included in the box. The Glass Media selector adds a 5 lb bag of blue reflective glass or platinum glass if you want a lighter or cooler floor, and the two can be mixed with the black for a custom bed. Interior and exterior touch-up paint are on the Accessories row for finishing after installation.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
