Maya Planter and Water Bowl in Stainless Steel: plants above, a bright steel spill below
The Outdoor Plus Maya planter and water bowl is a square stainless steel bowl with a planting well in the middle and a scupper that pours water from the front edge. Choose 24, 30, or 36 inches across, 10 to 12 inches tall, with an 8 or 10 inch spillway. Brushed stainless stays bright by the pool with an occasional wipe, and it is made in the USA.
The 3/4 inch scupper is included; you supply the water line. Want a warmer metal? See the Maya planter and water bowl in hammered copper. The Maya planter and water bowl ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What is the appeal of stainless steel for a water bowl?
Water and low maintenance, together — stainless will not patina, chip, or demand refinishing, so the Maya keeps its bright modern face with nothing but an occasional wipe-down, even with a spill running over it daily. It is the set-and-forget finish of the series.
What sizes are offered and how big are the scuppers?
Three squares: OPT-24SQSSPW and OPT-30SQSSPW with 8-inch scuppers, and OPT-36SQSSPW with a 10-inch scupper. Heights run 10 to 12 inches on 12-to-18-inch bases, so the larger Maya throws a noticeably wider sheet of water.
Who connects the water supply?
A pool contractor, as with any spill feature — the line comes off the pool’s circulation system through the Maya’s inlet and gets balanced so the scupper pours an even sheet. Schedule it within the pool build; the planter section installs itself the moment you add soil.
Does watering my plants affect the spill system?
No — the planted compartment holds soil independently of the water channel, so irrigation, fertilizer, and repotting stay entirely out of the plumbing. Conversely, the scupper’s flow never washes through the soil. Each half of the Maya minds its own business.
What is the matching strategy for the stainless Maya?
Pair it with the stainless Maya fire bowls — same molds, same bright material — and alternate them poolside among our water bowls. Flame flickering off one stainless bowl while water sheets from the next is a stunning modern composition.
How do I keep stainless bright near pool water?
Rinse it — pool splash leaves chloride and mineral deposits on any metal, and a periodic freshwater rinse plus an occasional wipe with stainless cleaner keeps the Maya spotless. Avoid steel wool and harsh chemicals. That is genuinely the entire maintenance program.
What plants suit a stainless water bowl?
Bold, structural greens — dwarf agave, ophiopogon, clipped boxwood — play brilliantly against bright steel, while trailing plants soften the square rim toward the water below. Keep root balls container-scaled for the Maya’s depth. Soil and plants are not included.
