Avalon Planter and Water Bowl in Concrete: a square bowl with plants around a copper spill
The Outdoor Plus Avalon planter and water bowl is a square concrete bowl with rounded corners, a planting well in the middle, and a copper scupper that pours water from the front edge. Choose 24, 30, or 36 inches across; each stands 10 inches tall. Handmade in the USA, its glass-fiber concrete looks like solid stone and comes in 18 colors.
The copper scupper and a 1.5 inch smooth-flow fitting are included. Just want water? The Avalon water bowl skips the planter ring. The Avalon planter and water bowl ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
How does the Avalon combine plants and water?
The GFRC bowl carries a planted section up top while a copper scupper — 8 or 12 inches wide depending on size — pours a smooth sheet of water into the pool below at 7 to 10 gallons per minute. One Avalon silhouette, two kinds of life in it.
What sizes can I order?
Three: 24, 30, and 36 inches across, each 10 inches tall. The scupper scales with the bowl — 8 inches on smaller sizes, 12 on larger — so bigger Avalons throw a proportionally wider water sheet. Pick size by the wall and pool it will serve.
What is the 1.5-inch smooth flow fitting for?
That is the water inlet — the connection point where your pool contractor’s supply line meets the bowl. The smooth flow design steadies incoming water before it reaches the Avalon’s scupper, which is what produces that glassy, even spill instead of a sputtering one.
Do I need a pool professional to install it?
For the water side, yes — the line runs off the pool’s circulation system and needs proper sizing for the 7-to-10-GPM flow. The planted side is yours from day one: fill it, plant it, water it like any container. The two systems never interfere.
Can it match fire features from the Avalon series?
Yes — same molds across the family, so this bowl pairs with Avalon fire bowls and the rest of our water bowls for a coordinated pool edge: flame on one bowl, water and greenery on the next, one repeating profile.
How many finishes does it come in?
A broad GFRC palette — Ash, Black, Bronze, Chestnut, Limestone, Moss Stone, Natural Gray, Pearl, Rustic White, Slate, and more — the shared Avalon finish card, which is what lets planted bowls, water bowls, and fire bowls wear one identical color across a project.
Can the spill and the plants be maintained separately?
Completely — the planted compartment is independent of the water path, so pruning, feeding, and replanting never involve the plumbing, and the scupper’s flow never disturbs the soil. If the pump is off, the Avalon still earns its place as a pure planter.
