Maya fire and water bowl: square stone looks in 18 colors
The Outdoor Plus Maya fire and water bowl is a square concrete bowl with flames over lava rock and a front copper scupper that drops a sheet of water into the pool. Choose 24, 30, or 36 inches. Handmade in the USA, its glass-fiber concrete looks like solid stone, weighs far less, and comes in 18 colors.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The pan, burner, copper scupper, hose, and lava rock are included; a key valve, tank pedestal, cover, bullet burner, fire glass, and ornaments are optional. Want a broader sheet? Try the Maya wide spill bowl. The Maya fire and water bowl ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What is GFRC, and why is the Maya bowl made from it?
Glass fiber reinforced concrete – a cast concrete strengthened with glass fiber, giving the Maya genuine stone presence at a weight a crew can actually lift onto a pool wall. It is the same material behind The Outdoor Plus concrete fire pit range, offered here in 18 finishes from Ash to Vanilla.
What sizes does the GFRC Maya fire and water bowl offer?
Three squares: 24-inch (OPT-24SFW), 30-inch (OPT-30SFW), and 36-inch (OPT-36SFW). The clean squared profile is the Maya signature – designers often step sizes along a pool wall or repeat one size for symmetry on both sides of a spa.
What ships with the bowl?
Fire pan and plate, burner, nipple, mounting bracket, NG or LP orifice, whistle-free hose, copper scupper with a 3/4-inch inlet, and lava rock. Choose match lit or CSA-certified low voltage electronic ignition at order; a key valve can be included for gas control at the feature.
How do fire and water bowls integrate with a pool?
The Maya bolts to the bond beam or a raised wall, its scupper pours into the pool, and the burner rides above the spill. Water comes from your pool’s circulation, gas from a dedicated line – two systems meeting in one feature, plumbed during construction ideally.
Can I run just the water, or just the flame?
Either, any time. The Maya’s spill and burner are independently supplied and valved, so daytime fountain duty, evening fire-only mode, and the combined effect are all one-switch decisions rather than fixed behavior.
How is the flame extinguished?
Close the gas valve – flame out, instantly, nothing left burning. That is the quiet luxury of a gas Maya over any wood feature: no dousing, no embers near the pool deck, no ash to scoop out of a bowl the next morning.
Can a bowl this size go on a wood deck instead of a pool wall?
The Maya is engineered as a water-fed pool feature, so a dry wood-deck install misses its point and still demands proper structural support and clearances for the GFRC mass plus flame. If deck fire is the goal, a purpose-built fire pit is the safer, simpler tool.
