FAQ
What finishes does the powder-coated Maya water bowl offer?
Fifteen: Black, White, Silver Vein, Java, Gray, Pewter, Copper Vein, Olive Green, Mist, Soft White, Onyx Black, Bronze Hammertone, Sapphire Blue, White Vein and Gold Vein powder coats. That color range is this version’s calling card — a White or Black Maya spilling water reads crisp and architectural in a way raw materials cannot, and stays that color.
What are the sizes and key specs?
OPT-24SQPCPW, OPT-30SQPCPW, and OPT-36SQPCPW — 24, 30, and 36-inch squares, around 10 inches tall on tapered bases, each flowing 7 to 10 gallons per minute through a scupper fed by a 3/4-inch inlet. Square geometry, steady sheet of water.
How does it get its water?
From the pool — a contractor plumbs a supply line off the circulation system into the Maya’s 3/4-inch inlet, then balances flow so the spill runs even at 7 to 10 GPM. Fold it into the pool construction scope; the planted section requires no plumbing whatsoever.
Is the planted area separate from the water?
Fully — soil and roots occupy their own compartment away from the water path. That means normal container gardening up top — feed, prune, replant at will — while the spill runs its own schedule below, and neither system can foul the other.
What pairs with it for the complete look?
Its mold-mates — Maya pool fire bowls in matching sizes. Alternate flame bowls and these powder-coated water-and-planter bowls along the bond beam, all in one finish, and the pool edge looks like a single commissioned installation.
Will pool splash and weather degrade the coating?
Powder coat is built for exactly that — an oven-bonded finish that resists UV, moisture, and chips far better than paint. Rinse mineral deposits off the Maya’s spill path now and then, especially in hard-water areas, and the color stays uniform for years.
Can fire and water Mayas run at the same time?
Yes — they are separate systems on separate bowls, so the fire bowls can burn while these spill water beside them. Nothing is shared but the silhouette. That simultaneous fire-over-here, water-over-there display is precisely the effect the series was designed to deliver.
