Roma Fire Bowl: a concrete fire bowl shaped like the base of a Roman column
The Outdoor Plus Roma fire bowl is a round gas fire bowl with stepped, rounded edges borrowed from the bases of Roman columns. It is cast from GFRC, a glass-fiber concrete that looks like stone at a fraction of the weight, in a 24 or 36 inch size and 18 colors.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The fire pan, burner, mounting bracket, hose, and fittings are included; fire glass, a key valve, and a canvas cover are optional. Want matching pieces? See the full Roma collection. The Roma fire bowl ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What sizes does the Roma Fire Bowl come in?
Two GFRC castings: a 24-inch (OPT-ROMFO24) for tight patios and paired arrangements, and a 36-inch (OPT-ROMFO36) that holds its own as a centerpiece. Skipping a middle size keeps the choice simple: intimate or statement, both wearing the same smooth Roma profile.
What is GFRC and why does the Roma use it?
Concrete reinforced with glass fibers instead of steel, cast thin and strong. The Roma gets authentic stone presence at a weight two installers can manage, plus immunity to rust and freeze-thaw cracking. It is the standard material for premium concrete fire pit designs for good reason.
What arrives with the bowl?
Fire pan and plate, burner, mounting bracket, NG or LP orifice, and whistle-free hose, with Match Lit or Low Voltage Electronic Ignition (CSA Certified) selected at order. Every Roma is built to order for the fuel you specify, and the concrete comes in the brand’s wide finish palette.
How far from the house should the Roma sit?
Use ten feet from walls and overhangs as your planning number, then confirm against local code. Clean gas combustion with no flying embers is why features like the Roma often win approval closer to structures than wood pits, but your inspector’s word is final.
What goes on top of the burner?
Fire-rated media only: lava rock for a natural volcanic look, or tempered fire glass when you want the Roma sparkling after dark. Spread it evenly so flame distributes across the burner ports, and never substitute pea gravel or ordinary glass, which can fracture under heat.
Is a roofed porch an option for it?
Assume no until your local code and a licensed installer say otherwise. Overhead cover traps heat and combustion products, so most jurisdictions restrict open gas flames beneath roofs. The Roma is happiest under open sky; if your design depends on cover, contact us to review it first.
How fast does it shut off?
Instantly: close the valve or flip the electronic switch, and the Roma goes dark with nothing left burning. That immediate off is why hosts love gas bowls; there is no waiting for a fire to die, no embers to soak, and no morning ash to shovel out of the concrete.
