Superior VRE4300: a complete outdoor gas fireplace with a tall opening and 50,000 BTU of heat
The Superior VRE4300 is an outdoor gas fireplace with everything in the box. It comes in widths of 36 or 42 inches. Pick the size on the page. The extra tall opening gives it the feel of a backyard hearth. It is made of stainless steel for year round outdoor use. Your contractor frames a structure around it and finishes it in stone, stucco, or brick. On the page you pick the brick pattern for the inside, stacked or herringbone.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Vent-free means it needs no chimney or vent pipe at all. Electronic ignition runs on batteries, so you need no power outside. The included high definition charred oak log set sits on a stainless steel grate over a bed of lava rock, with tall, random flames. It puts out up to 50,000 BTU, the most of Superior’s log fireplaces for the patio, and you can turn the heat down. You can add bi-fold glass doors, a stainless weather cover, and a brushed stainless hood. Want a wireless remote in the box? See the Superior VRE3200 outdoor gas fireplace. The Superior VRE4300 ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What comes with the VRE4300?
It is a complete premium outdoor fireplace: high-definition ceramic fiber charred oak logs, a lava rock ember bed, a stainless steel burner with concealed gas valve, stainless grate and screens, and battery-operated electronic ignition. Choose the 36 or 42 in size, stacked or herringbone panels and the fuel on the selectors; doors, cover, hood and drain pan are optional.
How much heat does it give off?
The Specifications tab lists 50,000 down to 37,000 BTU, with adjustable heat output, which is the most of Superior’s log-equipped outdoor fireplaces; the propane conversion kit label notes 46,000 BTU on LP. Framing is 42-3/4 or 48-3/4 in wide, 46-1/2 in high and 20-1/2 in deep, with the exceptionally tall opening the description highlights.
Can I add glass doors?
Yes. The Door selector offers a bi-fold glass door with stainless frame and hoods sized to the 36 or 42 in model, which protects the fire from wind and keeps embers in. The Outdoor Cover row adds a stainless weather cover for storage, and the Hood row adds a deluxe brushed stainless hood for reduced mantel clearances.
Does it need a chimney or power?
Neither. It is vent-free, so nothing penetrates the roof or wall, and the electronic ignition runs on batteries, so no outlet is required on the patio. Compare it with the VRE3200 and other Superior outdoor fireplaces by output and opening height.
Natural gas or propane?
Both, on the Fuel selector (ZEN natural gas, ZEP propane). The Fuel Conversion row lists an LP to NG kit and an NG to LP kit for a later change, for a qualified gas technician to fit, and the Drain Pan row adds a pan for blown-in rain.
How is it built for outdoors?
Stainless steel construction throughout for long-lasting outdoor use, with stainless screens, grate and burner; the refractory panels are molded firebrick in stacked or herringbone pattern. Keep the included screens in place, install it level, and follow the installation manual linked in the Manuals tab for clearances to combustibles and to the seating area.
