Tropical Fire Torch: palm frond and leaf cutouts in a stainless head, 14 inches tall
The Outdoor Plus Tropical Fire Torch is a hand-crafted stainless steel cylindrical torch head with branching palm frond and leaf cutouts that glow with flame at night. At 14 inches tall and just under 4 inches across, it tops posts along pools, walkways, or seating walls. The stainless steel resists heat and weather.
Pick the Original base, which has a built-in needle valve for setting the flame height and bolts to any 2.5 inch post, or the TOP-Lite base that threads onto a half-inch gas pipe. Order it for natural gas or propane. Want the reef instead of the palms? See the Coral fire torch. The Tropical fire torch ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What is the Tropical Fire Torch’s design?
Palm-frond cutouts sweep around the stainless steel head, so the lit Tropical casts leafy shadows of flame – the landscaping equivalent of a warm breeze. In TOP’s 3 3/4-inch torch family it is the vacation piece, made for pools, lanais, and gardens that lean lush.
What are the Tropical torch’s specs and ordering options?
The Tropical measures 3 3/4 inches across and 14 inches tall with up to 20,000 BTU. It ships as the match-lit Original (OPT-TT13M), the TOP-Lite electronic-ignition version (OPT-TCH13SS), or the complete liquid propane kit (OPT-TPK13LP) – all hand crafted.
Can I mix Tropical torches with water features?
That combination is the whole resort playbook – Tropicals lining the deck while water bowls spill at the pool wall, fronds of flame above moving water. Alternate them along the same sight line and the yard reads like a swim-up bar is coming.
How does the Tropical handle breezy evenings?
The frond cutouts flicker beautifully in light air – that movement is the design working as intended. When wind picks up, pull the Tropical’s needle valve down so the flame stays seated at the burner, and shut off the gas entirely in storms.
What is required to install the Tropical torch?
A 2 1/2-inch post, hex bolts, and a 3/8-inch flared gas connection – the TOP standard – plus a licensed installer for the fuel run. Set Tropicals at 6 to 8 feet so the palm pattern sits above eye level and lights the canopy of real plants around it.
How is the Tropical lit?
Match lit on the Original OPT-TT13M – crack the valve, touch a long lighter to the burner, tune with the built-in needle valve. The TOP-Lite OPT-TCH13SS version is designed for electronic ignition when you would rather light the Tropical from a switch.
Does the Tropical need propane, or can it use natural gas?
Both are supported – each Tropical is built to order for LP or NG, declared at purchase, with the OPT-TPK13LP kit as the complete propane package. On propane, expect about a pound per hour at full flame and far less at ambiance settings.
