SimpliFire Built-In: a traditional wood fire look without a chimney
The SimpliFire Built-In is a traditional style electric fireplace for your wall. It comes in two widths from 30 to 36 inches. Pick the size on the page. Inside, it has a stonework look, textured logs, and flames you can raise or lower. Built in means your builder frames it into the wall and runs tile, stone, or drywall right up to the edge, with no vents or screen showing.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. Plug it into a wall outlet on its own circuit for 4,800 BTU, enough to take the chill off the room. Have an electrician hardwire it on a heavier circuit for 10,000 BTU, about twice the heat. Run the flames with or without heat. It comes with a remote. In the box you get the log set and the remote. What changes if I wire the Built-In for 240 V instead of 120 V?
Heat and framing height. The Specifications tab lists 4,800 BTU/hr on 120 V and 10,000 BTU/hr on 240 V, and the framing height rises from 27-1/4 to 31-1/2 inches on the 30 (31-1/2 to 33-1/2 on the 36) because the manual requires a 2-inch clearance above the unit when hard-wired for 240 V. Decide the voltage before framing.
Can it plug into an outlet?
Yes at 120 V. The installation manual says the unit is designed to be hard-wired for 120 V or 240 V and that a plug-in kit is supplied for use with a grounded 120 V receptacle. A minimum 15 amp circuit is required for either voltage, and a dedicated circuit is recommended. The units are tested compatible with AFCI and GFCI breakers.
Do I need the Black Front, or can I finish right to the edge?
The front is optional. The Features tab describes a built-in, flush design that lets you bring finishing materials up to the edge with no visible heat vents or mesh screen. If you prefer a framed look, the Black Front 30 or Black Front 36 appears on the selector once you choose a size, with its price shown there.
What size rough opening does it need?
For the 30-inch model the Specifications tab lists a framing width of 31-3/4 inches and depth of 11-5/8 inches; the 36 needs 38 inches wide and the same depth. Framing height depends on voltage, 27-1/4 or 31-1/2 inches for the 30 and 31-1/2 or 33-1/2 for the 36. The architect guides in the Manuals tab carry the full drawings.
Is this a traditional-looking electric fireplace?
Yes. Rather than a linear ribbon of flame, the Built-In has a masonry-style interior, a textured log set and adjustable flame height, so it reads like a classic wood fireplace at the press of a button. It is offered in 30 and 36-inch widths and controlled with the included multifunction remote for thermostat, lighting and on/off.
Can I use it in an outdoor room?
No. The installation manual states not to use this unit outdoors, and it is listed as an indoor fireplace. For a covered patio look at the Forum outdoor model instead, and for other indoor styles browse our electric fireplace collection.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
