FAQ
What is a Twin Spill on the Avalon?
Two scuppers set side by side on the bowl’s face, pouring a matched pair of streams into the pool. The Twin Spill Avalon lands between the single-scupper version and a full multi-way bowl – more water presence and symmetry than one stream, without needing water on every side.
Which finishes and sizes are offered?
Hammered copper (OPT-24AVCPFWTS series), stainless steel (OPT-24AVSSFWTS series), and powder coat in 15 colors, each in 24-inch, 30-inch, and 36-inch bowls. Copper develops patina over time; stainless and powder coat keep the day-one look.
What equipment ships with the Twin Spill Avalon?
Fire pan and plate, burner, both scuppers with 3/4-inch inlets, mounting bracket, NG or LP orifice, whistle-free hose, and standard lava rock – the polished rock in photography is an optional upgrade. Match lit or CSA-certified low voltage electronic ignition is chosen at order.
Can both streams and the flame run at once?
Yes – twin streams below, flame above, each utility on its own feed and control. Because the two scuppers sit on one bowl, they share the water supply and stay naturally synchronized; the gas side remains fully independent for fire-only or water-only nights.
Does a twin spill need special water flow?
Just honest flow – two streams draw roughly double a single scupper, so the feed should be sized per the Avalon spec sheet or the pair will trickle instead of pour. A pool contractor balances this against your pump and other features as routine plumbing work.
Is there a water-only companion for this bowl?
Yes – The Outdoor Plus builds matching water-only vessels, and alternating them with a fire version is a proven wall layout. Set the Twin Spill Avalon center stage and flank it with plain water bowls for rhythm without multiplying gas runs.
Who should install it and when?
A pool contractor, ideally at construction – the Twin Spill Avalon wants a level set so both streams arc identically, plus the water feed and a professionally connected gas line. On remodels, plan for deck opening to route the two utilities to the wall.
