How will the hammered copper Maya age?
Beautifully and visibly. Fresh from the crate it is bright, dimpled copper; over seasons it deepens through bronze tones into a rich patina, and the hammering makes every stage catch light differently. Want to pause the clock? Clean and cover it regularly. Want character? Let this copper fire pit do its thing.
Which sizes are offered in copper?
Square bowls in 24, 30, and 36-inch: OPT-103-SQ24, OPT-103-SQ30, and OPT-103-SQ36. The hand-hammered texture reads especially well at the larger sizes, where firelight ripples across more surface. All three are the same Maya profile as the concrete and steel versions.
What hardware comes with the copper Maya?
Fire pan and plate, burner, nipple, mounting bracket, your NG or LP orifice, whistle-free hose, and lava rock. Choose Match Lit or Low Voltage Electronic Ignition (CSA Certified) at order, and add the optional key valve if you want flame control right at the bowl.
Does rain or snow damage copper?
No; copper is one of the most weatherproof metals you can put outdoors, which is why it roofs cathedrals. Moisture simply accelerates the patina. Practical care is minimal: drain the pan, dry the lava rock before lighting, and cover the Maya during long idle stretches.
Can we do marshmallows over it?
Yes, happily. The Maya’s gas flame is clean, so marshmallows toast without smoke flavor, and the wide square rim gives several skewers room to work at once. Keep drips off the media where you can; caramelized sugar on lava rock is annoying, not dangerous.
How much warmth does the copper version give off?
Copper conducts and radiates readily, so the bowl itself becomes part of the heater, throwing warmth outward alongside the flame. Expect comfortable heat across a normal conversation circle. Exact burner ratings vary by size, so check the Maya copper spec sheet for your pick.
Propane or natural gas: when do I decide?
At purchase. Every copper Maya is built to order for Liquid Propane or Natural Gas and ships with the matching orifice installed. If you are unsure which fuel your site supports, ask us before ordering; converting after the fact is a contact-us conversation, not a DIY swap.

Natural Gas
NG bowls come with a brass orifice mounted directly under the burner. Plan the gas run so the key valve sits within arm’s reach of the bowl.
Liquid Propane
LP bowls use a brass air-mixer orifice that blends air into the propane for a cleaner-burning flame — no soot staining the bowl or the deck around it.
Lava Rock, Not Glass, for LP
Skip fire glass on propane bowls. Propane is heavier than air and can pool under dense glass media — lava rock lets it breathe. On natural gas, glass is fair game.
Mounting & Ventilation
Bowls ship with a ventilating mounting bracket that anchors the bowl and lets the enclosure breathe. Install it properly — it’s required to keep the warranty valid.

Every fire model is available match lit or with low-voltage electronic ignition that can tie into your pool controls.
Water Flow
Fire & water bowls use a ¾″ water inlet and run best at 7–10 GPM — wide-spill scuppers up to 15 GPM for a broader sheet of water.
Accessories

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
