The Golden Designs Bergen is a six person outdoor traditional sauna. It has a modern cube shape and a dark espresso finish, built for rain and sun. The interior is all Canadian red cedar, with two rows of benches for six. A clear glass door and a tall window let in the light. It takes up about 79 by 85 inches of patio space.
A Harvia 8 kW stove heats the room to 170 to 185 degrees. Ladle water over the stones when you want steam. Inside you get color lighting, a control panel with FM radio and Bluetooth, speakers, and a sandglass timer, bucket, and scoop. It is the six-person model of the Modern series: 75 x 67.2 in of cedar-lined interior with 75 in of headroom and two tiers of bench seating, inside a 79.2 x 84.7 in footprint that stands 88.3 in tall. Assembled weight is 1,275 lbs, so the pad needs to be level and rated well above that once six bathers are inside.
Plan two circuits: 240 V / 40 A for the Harvia 8 kW stove and 120 V / 15 A for the control panel, lights and music. The owner’s manual insists on a certified licensed electrician, 90 C rated copper wire with the breaker sized to local code, and no aluminum wire, extension cords or receptacle adapters. Feed the stove cord through the wall vent before mounting it.
It has an espresso all-weather exterior over natural Canadian red cedar and the manual says outdoor models are made to sit in rain and sun. Water may seep in between panels over time and dries as the sauna heats; a rain cover is recommended when it is not in use, and a covered structure if you want it fully dry. Treat the cedar with a UV protectant to slow greying.
Yes. The owner’s manual calls for three adults for this model, a battery or hand-held Phillips screwdriver, and the supplied screws. Floor, wall and roof panels arrive pre-built on a pallet at the curb; the exterior roof gets adhesive roofing paper and the stove wood guard is fitted last. Have a licensed electrician handle the stove and control wiring.
The stove is designed for an ideal 170-185 F and can reach 190 F; ladle water from the included bucket and scoop over it when you want steam. The manual limits sessions to 40 minutes, recommends cooling down 10-20 minutes after exercise before entering, and requires an hour off after four hours of use.
The room, Harvia stove with built-in controls, clear tempered glass door, oversize chromotherapy lighting, backrest accent light, LED control panel with FM radio and Bluetooth, built-in speakers, and the sandglass, bucket and scoop are all included. By freight carrier on a pallet, curbside only, so arrange help to move the panels to the site. The Shipping tab quotes roughly 6 business days of handling plus 5-8 business days in transit within the US. Inspect every box for damage on arrival and report anything missing to us before assembly, as the manual advises.
Buyer may cancel and return the goods to Manufacturer, subject to the terms and conditions oft his policy. Buyer shall assume all risk of loss associated with the return as well as shipping, handling, restocking and other fees, costs and expenses as described in this policy. Orders must be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase and all returns must be processed within 30 days of delivery.
Golden Designs reserves the right to refuse to refund any deposit or payment, or cancel any payment due, and any owing until such time as Manufacture a) is in receipt of the goods b) has inspected the goods and c) in the Manufactures discretion, has found the goods to be free of damage. All refunds will be provided within 5 business days once the product has been returned to the warehouse and inspected for damage
All returned goods must be in their original packaging. Seller may refuse to refund all or any portion of any payment, or cancel payment due and owing if the Buyer fails to fully comply with or violates the terms and conditions of this policy.
All cancelled orders and/or returned goods shall be subject to the following: a) storage fees and costs associated with routing the goods; b) handling and restocking fee of 20% of the total purchase for each sauna; c) all shipping costs to and from the Manufacture, and; d) a return merchandise authorization (RMA)number provided by Norse Steam. Buyer’s failure to obtain the RMA number shall result in Manufacture not accepting any returned shipment and Buyer paying all costs and fees. We do not charge sales tax within the United States, except for orders shipped to Wyoming. I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
