Superior WXS2000: an EPA approved wood stove on a pedestal for a cabin or small home
The Superior WXS2000 is a floor standing wood burning stove. It sits on a black pedestal base that comes with it, so it needs no wall or framing, just a hearth pad and a chimney. A large rectangular door with ceramic glass gives you a full view of the fire, and an air wash keeps the glass clear. High density firebrick lines the inside and holds heat long after the flames die down. This page sells the WXS2016, which takes 16 inch logs, puts out up to 55,000 BTU, and heats a small home or a cabin. The larger WXS2021 burns 20 inch logs and heats up to 2,000 square feet. It is available by request, so contact us before you order if you want it.
One control lets you set the burn. It is EPA approved to the 2020 rules, so it burns wood cleanly. The chimney pipe is sold separately. On the page you can add a blower with a speed dial and an outside air kit. Want a wood heater built into the wall instead? See the Superior WRT3920 EPA wood burning fireplace. The Superior WXS2000 ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
Is the WXS2000 an EPA-approved stove?
Yes, EPA 2020 approved per the Features tab, with a ceramic glass door, an integral air wash that keeps the glass clear, high-density firebrick that holds heat for efficiency and one-touch combustion control. The listing is the WXS2016 model rated 55,000 BTU in the Specifications tab; a black pedestal base is included.
How big is it?
The Specifications tab lists the WXS2016 at 24-3/8 in wide, 30-1/4 in high and 19-3/8 in deep on its pedestal, a compact footprint for a cabin, den or small home. The larger WXS2021 listed alongside it in the Specifications tab is rated 76,000 BTU; ask us if you need that size, since the selectors do not offer it.
Is a blower included?
No; the Blower selector adds the 150 CFM blower with Dial-A-Temp speed control, which the Features tab lists as optional. The stove heats by radiation and natural convection from its heavy-gauge steel body without it, and the blower simply moves warm air further into the room.
Does it need outside air?
The Outside Air selector lists a panel and channel kit, a 4 in flex adaptor and 10 ft of insulated 4 in flex to connect the stove to outdoor combustion air, which tight homes and mobile-home installs often require; the installation manual linked in the Manuals tab says when. Satin black spray paint for touch-ups is on the Accessories row.
What chimney does it need?
A listed wood-stove chimney system sized and routed per the installation manual linked in the Manuals tab, with the floor protection and wall clearances it specifies; chimney and hearth pad are separate purchases. A qualified installer should plan the flue before the stove arrives. See other wood stoves to compare sizes.
What warranty and performance figures apply?
A 20 year limited warranty, per the Features and Specifications tabs and the WXS2000 Smart Sheet linked in the Manuals tab. That sheet also rates the WXS2016 at 2.1 grams per hour of emissions, 700 to 1,400 sq ft of heating capacity, 7 to 9 hour burn times, a 16 in maximum log length and a 280 lb stove weight, so plan the hearth and delivery path accordingly.
