Napoleon Rosedale 3: a wide view gas insert that runs in a power outage
The Napoleon Rosedale 3 is a direct vent gas insert for an existing wood burning fireplace, masonry or prefab. It needs an opening at least 29 inches wide, 21 inches tall and 15 inches deep. The view through the ceramic glass is a wide 25 by 13 inches, and the insert puts out up to 24,000 BTU on natural gas. It lights with millivolt ignition, so the fire still works in a power outage, and the F60 thermostatic remote comes in the box.
Three choices are required on the page: the log set (birch or oak), the backerplate, and the faceplate. Optional extras on the page: decorative panels in black illusion glass, MIRRO-FLAME reflective porcelain, or Newport or Westminster brick; a standard heat circulating blower; and an adjustable riser box. A safety screen is included. Order it for natural gas, or add the propane conversion kit. It vents through two 3 inch liners run up the existing chimney, one for fresh air and one for exhaust, and the matching Napoleon liner kits are on the page. Will the Rosedale 3 fit my fireplace?
It goes into a vented wood burning fireplace, masonry or prefab, with an opening at least 29 inches wide, 21 inches tall and 15 inches deep and a chimney flue at least 6 inches round, per Napoleon’s installation manual. Measure your opening before you order.
What do I have to pick when I order the Rosedale 3?
Three things: a log set (birch or oak), a backerplate (large 3-sided, large 4-sided, or trimmable), and a faceplate (small 4-sided or small arched). Decorative panels, the blower and the riser box are optional.
Does the Rosedale 3 work in a power outage?
Yes. It uses millivolt ignition, and Napoleon lists it as operating in power outages, so the fire still lights and heats without electricity.
What venting does the Rosedale 3 need?
Two 3 inch liners run up the existing chimney, one brings in fresh air and one carries the exhaust out. Napoleon’s installation manual allows 10 to 45 feet of liner. The Napoleon kits on the page come in 20, 25 and 35 foot lengths, each with both liners.
Is a blower included with the Rosedale 3?
No. The standard heat circulating blower RD3BK is an option on the page, $429 in the 2026 price book. The F60 thermostatic remote is included.
Can I run the Rosedale 3 on propane?
Yes, with conversion kit W175-0850 on the page, $95 in the 2026 price book. The manual rates it at up to 22,000 BTU on propane.
What warranty covers the Rosedale 3?
Napoleon’s President’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, sold in full through our authorized Napoleon dealership.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
